Where does the data come from?

The complete Hacker Books public export contains 15,766 books linked to 225,861 distinct HN comments, covering 2007-02-22 — 2026-11-01 · UTC.

How are books selected and ranked?

All 15,766 exported books are included. Mentions are deduplicated by book and HN item ID; mention, participant and recommender counts are reconciled per book. Stance labels come from the source’s automatic classification and may be wrong. The complete catalogue import is separate from our incomplete verification of the raw Hugging Face corpus.

Covers and your reading list

Covers are original typographic artwork, not publisher covers. Chinese titles are provided for discovery. Your reading list stays in this browser; no account is required.
